What to check before ordering
The right tyre balances grip, rolling speed, support and protection for the bike, rider and terrain—not simply the most aggressive tread available.
Tread & compound
Consider terrain, season and front/rear position. Softer compounds can increase grip while firmer compounds generally prioritise rolling speed and durability.
Casing & support
Rider weight, e-MTB mass, terrain, speed and pressure all affect the casing required. More support and protection usually add weight and rolling resistance.
Tubeless compatibility
Confirm the tyre and rim are tubeless compatible. Tape width, valves, sealant condition and correct installation are all essential to a reliable setup.

How do I choose the correct tyre width?
Check the bike and wheel manufacturer guidance, rim width and available frame or fork clearance. Actual measured width can vary between tyre and rim combinations.
Do I need the same tyre front and rear?
No. Many riders use more grip and braking control at the front, with a faster-rolling or more supportive rear tyre. The best combination depends on terrain and priorities.
What does Torque’s tubeless setup include?
The £25 single-wheel and £50 pair prices include new rim tape and sealant. Tyres, valves, inserts and other replacement parts are additional where required.
Are tyre inserts included in tubeless fitting?
No. CushCore and other tyre inserts are charged separately because installation requirements and products vary.
How often should tubeless sealant be checked?
Check it regularly rather than waiting for a puncture. Drying rate varies with sealant, climate, storage, tyre casing and how often the bike is ridden.
Can any tyre be converted to tubeless?
No. The tyre and rim should both be suitable for tubeless use, with compatible tape, valve and sealant. Damaged or unsuitable components should not be converted.
