What Happens Next

We will explain the priorities and provide a clear recommendation before further work begins. If you approve recommended labour worth £100 or more, the £25 assessment charge is deducted from the final labour bill.

The assessment does not include component dismantling or extended fault-finding. If more detailed diagnostic work is required, we will discuss it with you first.

Interim Service

£125

A structured six-month service focused on drivetrain performance, braking reliability and the overall condition of the bike—keeping it smooth, safe and consistent between full services.

Safety & Inspection

  • Frame, components and key wear points inspected
  • Critical bolts checked and torqued
  • Headset inspected and adjusted

Drivetrain Performance

  • Gear indexing and adjustment
  • Chain inspected and lubricated
  • Derailleur alignment checked
  • Drivetrain performance optimised

Braking System

  • Brake operation and performance checked
  • Callipers aligned and adjusted
  • Lever position and bite point optimised where adjustable
  • Pads and rotors inspected

Wheels, Tyres & Finish

  • Wheel trueness checked with minor adjustments
  • Tyres inspected
  • Tubeless system checked and sealant topped up
  • Drivetrain cleaned and re-lubricated
  • Bike wiped down and final torque check completed

Hydraulic brake bleeding, suspension servicing, internal bearing work and replacement parts are not included. Any worn components or additional work will be discussed before proceeding.

Full Service

£250

A comprehensive annual mechanical refresh. The Full Service includes everything in the Interim Service, plus deeper component cleaning, servicing and controlled reassembly.

Deep Mechanical Service

  • Drivetrain stripped, thoroughly cleaned and rebuilt
  • Gear inner and outer cables replaced where required and applicable
  • Bottom bracket removed, cleaned and re-greased
  • Standard headset removed, cleaned and re-greased

Advanced Brake Service

  • Front and rear hydraulic brakes bled
  • Brake system reset, aligned and optimised
  • SRAM Maven and Magura systems are subject to an additional £10 charge

Frame & Chassis

  • Components required for the included work removed
  • Frame deep cleaned
  • Suspension linkage inspected, cleaned externally and torque checked
  • Bearing condition checked across key areas

Wheels & Tubeless System

  • Wheel trueness and spoke tension checked
  • Minor corrections included
  • Tyres removed
  • Tubeless system refreshed with new sealant and tape

Dropper Post

  • Condition and operation checked
  • Cable replaced where required
  • Fasteners checked and tightened
  • Air pressure restored where applicable

Final Setup

  • Bike fully reassembled
  • Critical fasteners torque checked
  • Final mechanical inspection completed

Internal suspension servicing, bearing servicing or replacement, internal dropper servicing, major wheel truing and replacement parts are not included. Complex internal cable or headset routing may require additional labour. Any extra work will be explained and approved before proceeding.

Most Bikes Completed Within 72 Hours

Most bikes are completed within 72 hours of their agreed workshop appointment. Parts availability or additional faults can extend the turnaround time; if this happens, we will explain what has been found, confirm any additional cost and keep you updated.

Which service should I choose?

Choose an Interim Service for routine six-month maintenance. Choose a Full Service for an overdue, heavily used or second-hand bike requiring deeper work. If the problem is unknown, begin with an Assessment & Inspection.

Are replacement parts included?

No. Replacement parts are charged separately and approved before fitting. New tubeless sealant and tape are included in the Full Service.

Does the Full Service include bearings?

No. Bearing condition is checked, but servicing, removal and replacement are separate workshop jobs.

Does the Full Service include suspension servicing?

No. Internal fork and rear-shock servicing can be booked separately.

Does it include an internal dropper service?

No. We check operation and condition, tighten the post, restore air pressure where applicable and replace its cable where required.

Do I need an appointment?

Yes. Torque Collective operates an appointment-led workshop so that each bike receives properly allocated workshop time.
