Start with Torque

Get the package right before you apply

Cyclescheme certificates need to match the equipment you intend to collect. Personal top-ups are not permitted, and unused certificate value can be lost. We therefore recommend speaking to Torque first so we can confirm the bike, size, eligible accessories, full-RRP package value and availability before you submit your application.

How it works

Four clear steps

01

Choose your bike

Tell us what you ride, your commute, preferred bike and approximate budget. We can advise on model, size and setup.

02

Receive your quote

We confirm availability and provide an exact full-RRP quote for the bike and any eligible accessories you want included.

03

Apply through Cyclescheme

Apply through your employer and nominate Torque Collective as your retailer using the agreed package value.

04

Redeem and collect

Once your certificate is approved, we redeem it, prepare your bike in our workshop and arrange handover from Kelvedon.

Torque pricing policy

Questions

Cycle to Work and Cyclescheme FAQs

Is Torque Collective an approved Cyclescheme retailer?

Yes. Torque Collective is an approved Cyclescheme retailer in Kelvedon, Essex. You can find and nominate Torque through the official Cyclescheme retailer directory.

Does Cyclescheme have a £1,000 spending limit?

Cyclescheme itself is not restricted by the old £1,000 limit, but your employer can set its own maximum package value. Check your employer’s scheme before choosing a bike.

Can I use Cyclescheme for an electric mountain bike?

Yes, qualifying road-legal e-bikes can be obtained through Cyclescheme. The scheme is intended for cycling to work and Cyclescheme states that approximately half of the bike’s use should relate to commuting or work journeys.

Can I buy a Norco or Amflow through Cyclescheme?

Yes, subject to the model being available and your employer’s package limit. Torque can quote for stocked bikes and eligible special-order models.

Can I use a discounted or sale price?

No. Torque Collective processes Cyclescheme purchases at the product’s full recommended retail price. We will confirm this clearly in your quote before you apply.

Can I add my own money if my certificate is too low?

No. Cyclescheme does not permit personal top-ups. If the certificate value is insufficient, it normally needs to be cancelled or amended and reissued before redemption.

Can accessories be added to the same package?

Yes. Eligible safety equipment, clothing, bags, tools and qualifying components can be included. Tell us what you need before applying so every item appears in the quote.

Can workshop servicing be included?

No. Routine workshop servicing and labour are not included in Torque’s Cyclescheme packages. Ongoing servicing can be booked and paid for separately.

What if my employer is not registered?

You can invite your employer to join through Cyclescheme. If your employer uses a different Cycle to Work provider, contact us before applying so we can confirm whether Torque accepts it.
