Bluegrass Venture Vest – MTB Back & Chest Protection with Ride Storage
The Bluegrass Venture Vest combines certified MTB body armour, hydration carrying and useful trail storage in one breathable outer layer. It is designed for all-mountain, enduro and eMTB riders who want chest and back protection without automatically adding a separate riding pack.
Protection & Features
- EN1621 certified protection: Type B Level 2 back and Type B Level 1 chest
- SAS-TEC back protector inserts
- Breathable front mesh and ergonomic fit designed for pedalling
- Side zips for easy removal and on-the-go fit adjustment
- Quick-release, easy-pull side adjustment system designed to keep elastic straps controlled
Hydration & Trail Storage
- Dedicated hydration compartment for a bladder up to 1.5 litres
- Hydration strap hook and drinking-tube holder
- Five pockets total: three adaptive pockets plus two zipped pockets front and rear
The result is a protection vest that can carry water, tools and ride essentials without forcing you into a conventional backpack on every ride.

Sizing & Fit
The Venture Vest is unisex. Bluegrass recommend measuring your chest at the widest point and your waist at the narrowest point.
- Small: chest 84–90 cm / waist 73–79 cm / approx. 715 g
- Medium: chest 91–97 cm / waist 80–86 cm / approx. 785 g
- Large: chest 98–104 cm / waist 87–93 cm / approx. 845 g

The Venture Vest makes the most sense when you look at the complete system rather than just the armour rating. You get proper Level 2 back protection, chest protection, hydration capacity and trail storage in a single piece of kit. For longer eMTB and enduro rides, that can be a very practical way to carry protection and essentials without adding another pack.
Care
The back protector is removable to make hand washing easier. Follow the Bluegrass care label supplied with the garment.
