Ergon SMC Core Men – Purpose-Built Comfort Saddle for Trail and Bikepacking Riders

The Ergon SMC Core Men is a comfort-focused saddle designed specifically for male riders who put in long hours on trail, gravel, and bikepacking routes. Introduced for 2021, it adds Ergon's patented Core technology and TwinShell construction to the established SMC Men series – delivering meaningful comfort engineering rather than a simple foam reshaping.

What It Does

The saddle uses a BASF Infinergy® (E-TPU / Closed Cell Particle Foam) core layer designed to respond dynamically to pelvic movement. According to Ergon, this substantially reduces pressure on the sit bones and genital area during sustained riding – a genuine consideration on longer days where a rigid saddle base compounds fatigue and discomfort.

Sizing & Fit
