Developed on the World Cup downhill circuit, this is TRP’s premium gravity-focused rotor designed specifically for riders pushing harder, braking later, and demanding consistent stopping power on long, steep descents. TRP states the RS05E delivers a 10% improved deceleration rate, alongside significantly better temperature stability and heat management compared to previous designs.

The key to that performance is its 2.3mm rotor thickness and completely redesigned braking surface. The new hole pattern improves how quickly the rotor reaches optimal operating temperature while also allowing faster cooling and better heat dissipation during sustained braking. This helps maintain lever feel, reduces fade, and improves confidence when the trail gets steeper and faster.

TRP also increased surface area for better heat control and improved bite and bed-in performance, giving stronger initial braking feel and more consistent power through repeated hard braking zones. Combined with laser-cut manufacturing for improved accuracy and rust-block treatment for long-term durability, this is a true gravity rotor—not just a standard trail rotor with a bigger size option.
