Bluegrass Jetro MIPS – ¾ Coverage Open-Face MTB Helmet with Jaw Protection
The Jetro sits in an interesting gap in the helmet market: more coverage than a standard open-face lid, less bulk than a full-face. The integrated jaw guard wraps around the lower face while keeping a wide field of view open, making it a considered choice for riders who want genuine protection on technical trails without committing to a full-face helmet.
What It Does
- ¾ head coverage with integrated jaw guard for added lower-face protection
- In-mould polycarbonate shell with EPS liner
- MIPS C2 rotational impact management system
- Virginia Tech rated construction
- Meets ASTM and NTA standards
- Fidlock magnetic buckle for single-handed fastening
- Cheek pads for a secure, comfortable fit
Technical Insight
The EPS liner extends across the full coverage area of the helmet, including around the jaw section. Bluegrass draw on construction principles from their Vanguard full-face helmet, so the protection architecture is more considered than a bolted-on chin bar.
Why Torque Collective Stock This
eMTB and enduro riders often find themselves caught between an open-face and a full-face depending on the day. The Jetro offers a practical middle ground — real jaw protection with MIPS and a Virginia Tech rating, without the weight and heat of a full-face. It is a helmet we think deserves space in a serious trail and eMTB kit range.
