The Ergon SM Downhill Comp Team is a dedicated downhill saddle developed through World Cup racing and direct feedback from elite DH athletes. This is not a trail saddle pressed into park duty – every design decision is shaped around the demands of aggressive, technical descending.

What It Does

The super-compact silhouette maximises tyre clearance, which matters particularly on smaller 29er frames where the gap between saddle and rear tyre is limited. The contoured shape follows the movement sequence of a downhill descent, supporting controlled body positioning through technical terrain rather than getting in the way of it.

• 360° edge padding – full perimeter protection and optimised leg-steering control as you weight and push the bike through corners
• Anti-slip microfibre cover – keeps you connected to the bike when riding out of the saddle or repositioning under load
