Galfer Shark Disc Rotor – 6 Bolt | 180mm / 203mm / 223mm
The Galfer Shark Disc Rotor is engineered for riders who need consistent, fade-resistant braking under sustained heavy loads — steep descents, bike park laps, enduro stages, and full-power eMTB riding where heat build-up is a genuine concern.
What It Does
Galfer's patented Shark fin profile increases airflow across the rotor surface, improving heat dissipation and helping maintain a stable, predictable bite point through repeated hard braking. The one-piece finned construction uses a 2.0mm thick braking track, adding thermal mass and improving modulation compared to thinner standard rotors. The result is more consistent braking performance on long or technical descents, with reduced brake fade — particularly relevant on heavier eMTBs.
Technical Insight
- Patented Shark fin profile — increases surface airflow and cooling
- 2.0mm braking track — greater thermal stability than standard-thickness rotors
- 6-bolt fitment — suits most MTB and eMTB hubs with IS or 6-bolt disc interfaces
- Available in 180mm, 203mm, and 223mm — covering trail through to DH and eMTB setups
- Developed and tested at World Cup level for Enduro, Downhill, and E-MTB use
Compatibility
6-bolt interface. Compatible with standard 6-bolt disc hubs. Check your fork and frame specifications to confirm the correct rotor size for your adapter or direct-mount standard.
Why Torque Collective Stock This
Brake fade on long descents is one of the most common issues we see in the workshop, and it becomes more pronounced on heavier eMTBs. The Shark Rotor addresses that directly with a proven cooling design and increased rotor mass. We stock all three sizes — 180mm, 203mm, and 223mm — to cover the full range of trail, enduro, DH, and eMTB builds we see at Torque Collective.
