Galfer Shark Disc Rotor – 6 Bolt (180mm / 203mm / 223mm)
Typically Ships within 2 - 3 days
The Galfer Shark Disc Rotor is built for riders who demand maximum braking consistency when riding hard—whether that’s steep natural terrain, bike park laps, alpine descents, or full-power eMTB riding.
Developed through extensive R&D and tested at World Cup level, the Shark Rotor is designed specifically for Enduro, Downhill, and E-MTB use where heat management becomes the difference between confidence and brake fade. Galfer’s patented Shark fin profile increases airflow and cooling, helping the rotor maintain stable braking performance under repeated heavy loads.
The rotor uses a 1-piece finned design with a 2.0mm thick braking track (180 / 203 / 223mm sizes), increasing rotor mass and thermal stability compared to standard thinner rotors. This improves modulation, gives a sharper and more consistent bite point, and reduces fade on long descents—especially important on heavier eMTBs where braking loads are significantly higher.
Constructed from high carbon stainless steel, laser cut for precision, and rated for temperatures up to 800°C, the Shark Rotor is built to handle proper gravity riding rather than just occasional trail use. It is also fully compatible with major braking systems including:
- Shimano Saint / XT / XTR
- SRAM Maven / Code / Guide
- Hope Tech 4 V4
- TRP EVO Pro
- Magura MT5 / MT7
…and uses a standard 6-bolt mounting interface.

Torque Collective Insight
This is the rotor we’d choose over standard Shimano rotors for premium gravity and eMTB builds.
A lot of riders upgrade to:
- Saint
- Maven
- TRP EVO Pro
- Hope V4
…but leave weak rotors in place.
That limits everything.
The Shark Rotor matters because:
- more rotor mass = better heat control
- better cooling = more consistent lever feel
- stronger bite = more confident braking
- proper gravity design = less fade when it matters most
On full-power eMTBs especially, this becomes obvious fast.
For riders on:
- Orbea Wild
- Norco Range VLT
- Trek Rail
- Specialized Levo
- YT Decoy
…this is a real upgrade, not just a cosmetic one.
And visually—they look properly premium, which absolutely helps sales on the shop floor.
