SRAM GX Eagle Transmission T-Type Flattop Chain – 12 Speed (126 Links)
Typically ships within 2 - 3 days
The SRAM GX Eagle Transmission T-Type chain is built specifically for modern Eagle Transmission drivetrains—designed to handle heavier loads, harder shifting, and the increased torque demands of today’s aggressive trail bikes and eMTBs.
This is not simply an updated GX chain. It uses SRAM’s all-new T-Type flat-top design, created specifically for Eagle Transmission systems. The unique flat-top profile improves shifting precision, increases drivetrain stiffness, and gives the chain significantly greater structural strength compared to traditional Eagle chains. SRAM describes it as “the strongest SRAM chain ever made.”
The chain uses solid pins, fully approved for E-MTB use, specifically engineered to manage the added torque loads created by pedal-assist systems. This is critical for modern Bosch, Brose, TQ, and SRAM Powertrain bikes where drivetrain loads are substantially higher than analogue bikes.
It includes the dedicated T-Type PowerLock connector, with chrome-hardened inner links and nickel-finished outer links for improved durability and long-term wear resistance. The fully silver finish also gives the chain the clean, premium appearance that matches the Transmission platform.
With 126 links, it covers the majority of modern trail, enduro, and eMTB builds.
This is the correct chain for GX, X0, XX, and XX SL Eagle Transmission setups.

Torque Collective Insight
This is the chain Transmission riders should be running—full stop.
One of the most common mistakes we see is riders trying to run older Eagle chains on T-Type drivetrains.
Don’t.
Transmission is designed around this exact flat-top chain.
That means:
- better shifting under load
- quieter drivetrain performance
- longer cassette and chainring life
- proper eMTB durability
Especially on full-power eMTBs, chain strength matters massively.
This is where GX T-Type is brilliant:
it gives almost all of the real-world performance of X0 and XX Transmission chains, without the huge jump in price.
It’s the smart choice.
If you’re running:
- GX Transmission
- X0 Transmission
- XX Transmission
- XX SL Transmission
…this is the correct replacement chain.
Fit & Sizing
Compatibility
- SRAM GX Eagle Transmission
- SRAM X0 Eagle Transmission
- SRAM XX Eagle Transmission
- SRAM XX SL Eagle Transmission
- 12-speed T-Type only
Length
- Common retail size: 126 links
- Other lengths available from SRAM
Important Note
This is for Transmission / T-Type only
It is NOT compatible with:
- older GX Eagle mechanical
- X01 Eagle
- XX1 Eagle
- standard Eagle AXS (non-Transmission)
Those require the older non-flat-top Eagle chain.
This distinction matters.
