MTB cockpit & contact points

Control starts where you meet the bike

Bars, stems, grips, saddles, pedals and dropper components selected to improve fit, confidence and control on mountain bikes and e-MTBs.

The right choice depends on more than colour or brand. Dimensions, riding position and compatibility all matter—so workshop advice and fitting are available before and after you order.

Choose with confidence

What to check before buying

A small change at the cockpit or contact points can transform how a bike feels. It can also create compatibility problems when the dimensions are wrong.

01

Bars & stems

Check handlebar clamp diameter, rise, width, stem length and steerer compatibility. These choices affect reach, steering response and riding position.

02

Grips & controls

Grip shape and thickness influence comfort and hand fatigue. Leave enough bar space for brakes, shifters, remotes and e-bike controls.

03

Saddles & pedals

Contact-point choice is personal. Consider saddle shape and rail type, pedal platform, grip and the type of shoes you ride in.

04

Dropper components

Seatpost diameter, usable travel, frame insertion depth, cable routing and remote compatibility should all be checked before purchase.

Rider-focused setup

The component is only part of the result

Bar roll, lever position, saddle placement, control layout and tyre or suspension setup can all affect how comfortable and confident the bike feels. Torque can fit the parts and dial in the complete riding position.

Cockpit & contact-point FAQs

How do I know whether I need a 31.8 mm or 35 mm handlebar?

The bar clamp diameter must match the stem. Check the marking on the current handlebar or stem, or send us clear photos and bike details before ordering.

Can you help choose bar width, rise and stem length?

Yes. The answer depends on the rider, bike geometry and desired handling. For more than a direct replacement, our full-bike dial-in service is the best route.

Will any dropper post fit my frame?

No. Seatpost diameter, maximum insertion, available travel, cable routing and frame clearance all matter. Compatibility should be checked against the specific bike.

Can Torque install products bought from this collection?

Yes. We offer workshop fitting and setup for cockpit, contact-point and dropper upgrades. Labour is priced according to the component and routing complexity.

Can you source a different brand or size?

Often, yes. We can source components from major cycling brands even when the exact item is not shown online. Contact us with your bike details and requirements.
